The Mill forge is a hotel complex and venue, situated around 3 miles from Gretna Green in a picturesque location. The forge sits in the grounds of the Mill, a listed building dating from 1740; it is a converted farm and millhouse.
Marriages take place is a purpose build chapel, in the style of a Scottish highland Kirk. The original barn has undergone extensive alterations to become a fully licensed barn restaurant.
The Mill is a self contained wedding venue and offers Bridal Suite and guest accommodation in a chalet style arrangement along with shared function rooms to hold your reception/evening meal.
The Mill do ask that you have your meal/reception with them after your ceremony, in order to marry there between 11am and 6pm

Our day at the mill was outstanding from start to finish the staff we lovely and nothing was a problem to them. Ive just recommended my friends to have their wedding at the mill

We married here in aug 2004, Been from ireland there was a lot of phone calls to arrange everything, the mill staff were brill helped in anyway they could. We couldnt fault this venue in anyway every thing was just perfect.

We have only just been married at The Mill (Valentine's Day) and have to say, what a sensational place it was, all staff were extremely helpful (especially Liz, our co-ordinator)
We booked a Piper at the last minute with no problems whatsoever... Our photographer was very friendly and helpful.
The Minister put everyone at ease immediately, we would recommend The Mill to anyone wanting a special romantic setting with no stress/hassle.... Thank you all

We were married 22nd Aug 2009 and i have to sya it s perfect!!! The mill forge is a beautiful place well kept and the staff are brilliant. We went up the day before to have a look around and was very pleased by what we saw. I would definately recommend it to everyone.Our photographer was very friendly and our photos were ready the next day to take home - brill!!
I am so glad we chose to marry in gretna and all our 25 guests said how great a weekend it had been. Thanks to the beaureau for all their help in making our day the best ever.

We got married at the Mill on Jan 26th, 2005.. It was just the two of us, with the Mill's receptionist and our photographer as our witnessess..it was absolutely perfect...the venue was great, the accomodation pure luxury, the service fab...it's great to see from the pics above that it hasn't changed since.. x

we got married at the mill on the 15th of september 2009 we are from n.lreland so we took a bus over there where 30 of us and we all had the best 2 days away so a big thank you to all the staff at the mill for the perfect day. would recommend to all takes the stress out of getting married.xx

we got married on friday 13th nov 2009.The Mill has lovely surroundings, great if you get the weather as there are a variety of places for photos. The staff were brilliant and helped us feel very relaxed. We would definatley recommend the Mill.

We got married on the 12th July 2009. Everything was arranged from Austria and the staff were so helpful seeing that we had not seen the venue in person until the day before our wedding, but everything was so perfect on the day and even the weather got better for the day. It was lovely having everyone stay at the same place as well and so no need for wedding cars etc.
Whatever you want the staff are there to help and my husband loved the beer too.

we got married on 30th october 2009 at the mill.
the whole day was perfect from start to finish, the staff at the mill were all so friendly and helpful, and the venue is beautiful, we would highly recommend the mill to everyone.

staff were excellent to us. they arranged a wedding lunch for us at a moments notice..even though they were in the middle of laying carpet etc. the next day we had a lovely lunch and great memoriesof a lovely place. hope to return for a visit someday.
