About Anvil Hall

A unique and beautiful building, Anvil Hall is an increasingly popular marriage venue.  Formerly the catholic church in Gretna, the building is now used only for weddings.  Low light and candles make for a unique and romantic atmosphere in this special building, which sits in the middle of the town, with houses surrounding it, however, it holds enough of its own land to accommodate some wedding photography. 

The interior of the hall is unique in Gretna and its upper balcony allows fantastic overhead photography. Anvil Hall provides many great photographic opportunities inside the hall and although the venue has limited gardens, there are photographic opportunities at the side of the building where there is a kissing gate and mock 'Gretna Green' sign.

The Anvil Hall has capacilty for up to 90 guests seated and an additional 30 standing.

Points to consider: Anvil Hall has limited garden areas, so photography is largely restricted to the inside.
