Civil Partnership Ceremonies
Since 5 December 2005, we are please to be able offer civil partnership ceremonies or same sex weddings at the UK's most popular wedding venue Gretna Green.
The legalities and fees for a partnership ceremony are the same as for any wedding and can be read in our step by step guide below. There are a couple of exceptions, which are detailed below.

Points to Consider
- Unfortunately, three of the wedding venues we offer are unavailable for gay weddings; The Chrichton Church, Caerlaverock Castle and the Mill Forge. The Chrichton and Caerlaverock do not have a civil license and so can only host religious ceremonies. The Mill Forge do not host civil partnership ceremonies. All other wedding venues on this site are available.
- Legally, a same sex marriage can only be performed by civil celebrant (registrar). A minister can perform a blessing ceremony, however, which can be performed after the legal ceremony.
